About David Martin.

I lead content and build AI knowledge systems for B2B teams. I am based in North Vancouver, BC.
For 11 years I have worked at a 40-year Canadian IT firm, where I am responsible for all content, brand and marketing. I write and design more than 100 social posts a year, produce the company's videos, create its sales and event materials, and designed the logo and colour system for its rebuilt website. Earlier in my time there, I led more than 30 public-sector bids, including a roughly 300-page response that won a 20-year contract.
Since 2024 I have built AI systems to support that work. One turns a new RFP into a branded, 80 to 90% complete first draft in about 30 minutes. Another manages every company social post from draft through approval to publication. I train teams on these systems and produce short videos on using AI effectively.
Outside my role, I run DJC Kids, an independent children's animation channel with more than 261 million views. I write the stories and lyrics, design the characters and produce the animation, originally by hand and now with AI tools. I have written and illustrated seven picture books, and helped editorial cartoonist Adrian Raeside bring his picture book Dennis the Dragon back into print.
I spent ten years in Japan directing curriculum and teacher training for a group of language schools, and I speak and write Japanese. My background is in engineering, and I approach large workloads by building better processes.
What I bring to a leadership team.
Business problems first
Each system I have built addresses a specific operational bottleneck.
Systems in daily use
My systems run inside existing approval processes, and a person reviews every output.
Adoption
I train teams, present to leadership and produce how-to videos so that new tools are used.
Hands-on craft
I write, design and edit video myself, so I know what good output looks like before automating it.
Skills.
